Momo is dead

indicate that the popular
vernacular songwriter and singer
Mike Murimi who did the MOMO hit
song that rocked the airwaves back
in 2011 has passed away. Mike
Murimi became an instant celebrity
after his song that sought to
appreciate women who are gifted
with the flesh became a favorite
not only to those who understood
the G ikuyu language but also those
who did not.
Before his death, Mike is said to
have given a message that seems to
have prophesied his own death. Here
is what is posted on the internet as
his last words, “WHEN YOU WALK
IN THE SHADOW OF THE VALLEY IF
DEATH, IT’S ONLY THE SPIRIT OF
GOD THAT CAN LEAD YOU. LORD
REIGN FOREVER”
It is not yet
clear what led to his death. May his
soul rest in eternal peace.
