“Mike Sonko” Raped and infected me with an STD.. Claims a 22 year old college girl

A 22 year old college girl has narrated to a Nairobi court how she was tricked in to a hotel room and raped by an alleged Mike Sonko impostor. She also said that the man infected her with an STD.

The young girl who hails from Eldoret claimed that the impostor whose real name is Joseph Gitau Njoki managed to get her in to a hotel room after lying to her that he would facilitate a meeting between her and the flamboyant Nairobi Senator.
The girl said that her parents were unable to raise her school fees and she desperately needed to meet Mike Sonko; since she had heard that he was very philanthropic and he could easily pay for her school fees arrears which amounts to Sh 150,000. That is when she met the impostor through a Facebook page called “Mike Sonko Foundation” which he had created to lure unsuspecting Kenyans and con them
She told the court that Gitau asked her to travel to Nairobi for him to facilitate the meeting with Mike Sonko. She was promised a refund of her fare upon arrival in Nairobi, courtesy of the Senator.
Following the ‘breakthrough’, the victim for the first time traveled to Nairobi, where Gitau was to pick her up from the North Rift stage behind Afya Center.
When she arrived, Gitau was waiting for her at the stage ready to take her to Sonko’s hotel in Westlands.
“He came after 30 minutes to pick me up and he told me the Senator was relaxing in his room. We arrived in the hotel room he had already booked. We chatted for a few minutes before he excused himself saying he wanted to see the Senator,” the girl said.
After some time, Gitau came back and lied to the girl that Sonko was relaxing in his hotel after a hard day at work.
After taking dinner, Gitau directed the girl to follow him to the room where the Nairobi Senator was waiting and once in the room, the senator was not there. Gitau closed the door before hurling a barrage of insults at her.
“He told me that I would curse the day I was born and I started getting worried because we were only the two of us in the room and Sonko was nowhere. I did not want to risk my life,” the girl said.

“He stripped all my clothes and without using any protection, he raped me many times until the morning,” the girl added. The woman said the following day, Gitau threw Sh 2,000 at her telling to wash her ugly genitals and go back to Eldoret.
Upon returning to Eldoret, the girl learnt that she has been infected with an STD. Below is a photo of the Impostor who raped the girl. He also conned many Kenyans through a fake Facebook page
